About me

I am Federico Pilloni, an Italian Interior and Furniture Designer working across interiors, bespoke furniture and spatial experiences.

My work is rooted in the relationship between space, material and human experience. With a background in Product Design from IED and further training in Interior Design and Decoration, I approach projects across multiple scales — from spatial concepts and interior layouts to custom furniture, FF&E and material details.

Over the years, I have developed my practice across Italy, Spain, Mexico, Ireland and the United Kingdom, gaining experience in residential, commercial and retail environments. This international path has shaped a flexible way of working, attentive to different contexts, cultures, clients and project requirements.

Through freelance collaborations, I have contributed to interior projects from concept development to visualisation, material selection and bespoke furniture design. My experience with Advance Interiorismo in Spain strengthened my approach to tailored interiors and client-oriented design processes, while my collaboration with Sudlegno in Italy brought me closer to high-end carpentry, joinery and the technical precision of custom-made furniture.

I currently work as an Interior Designer at IKEA, where I continue to refine my expertise in spatial planning, commercial interiors, customer experience and large-scale project development. This experience complements my background in bespoke and craft-oriented design, allowing me to move between conceptual thinking, functional planning and technical resolution.

I am interested in interiors that feel refined yet approachable, precise yet warm, and capable of supporting everyday life through thoughtful spatial and material decisions. My design approach is guided by clarity, proportion, atmosphere and a careful attention to how materials, objects and spaces come together.

I work with SketchUp, Rhinocheros, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign, and I am currently expanding my technical profile through a Master’s programme in BIM. Fluent in Italian, Spanish and English, I am interested in contributing to international studios where design culture, technical precision and emotional spatial quality are developed together.
